Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA (Dräger) is reviewing the buy-back of the 25
percent stake currently held by Siemens AG (Siemens) in Dräger
Medical AG & Co. KG. This would increase the stake Dräger holds in
the medical subsidiary to 100 percent. Dräger is currently involved
in negotiations on funding.
Initial exploratory discussions between Siemens and Dräger have
concluded that the buy-back could result in a total financial outlay
in the region of EUR 300 million for Dräger.
Dräger and Siemens are going to be intensifying discussions about the
possible acquisition of the stake in the coming weeks. In addition to
that, both companies agree to continue cooperation.
